Coach Robin Brown forecasted difficult matches but was confident of his teams chances.
“We are working on having a very fit and strong squad. This tour will also be preparation for the next World Cup and we need to get our boys match-fit for the event.
The team will use eligible players from the last World Cup and new players from the schools league and the first league. We will rely on players like PJ Moore and Callum Price, though South Africa will not be an easy challenge for the team,” he told The Zimbabwean on Sunday last Thursday from Harare.
The team has been in camp for over a week at the High Performance Centre (HPC) in Harare in preparations for the series. Brown is taking charge of the squad, which includes players from the previous International Cricket Council Under 19 Cricket World Cup and a few new faces.?
