Dynamos still licking the wounds from a morale-shattering 2-0 defeat at home to TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo in an Africa Champions League match played at the National Sports Stadium last Sunday, will be eager to put that defeat behind them when they square up against the Mighty Bulls.
But it will not be an easy task for Dynamos against a rampaging Mighty Bulls whose impressive performance this season has seen them scoring a massive 20 goals in nine games with 22 points, two points adrift of DeMbare who have a game in hand.
Although Elvis Chiweshes charges have a 100 percent record in the campaign in which they have managed eight wins out of eight matches, they have scored eight
goals less than Motor Action which should be enough warning to the league leaders.
Dynamos will also miss chief striker Cuthbert Malajila whose future at DeMbare remains uncertain as the Harare club are embroiled in a wrangle with the strikers former club, Airforce of Zimbabwe side Chapungu, over payment for his services.
Chiweshe, whose charges beat Eagles 2-0 in a midweek game after the World Cup break, was upbeat ahead of todays match, promising his charges have put the TP Mazembe defeat behind and will be ready for Motor Action this afternoon.
“This is a very important match for us. They (Motor Action) would want to beat us to reclaim to place. It will be a very difficult match but we are well prepared for them. The focus is now on this match and we have put behind us the defeat in the African Champions,” Chiweshe told The Zimbabwean on Sunday.
Motor Action mentor Joey Antipas whose charges beat premiership returnees Black Mambas in their last league match, conceded that they were faced with a tough task against a DeMbare team out to atone for last weeks poor showing.
This is a big match and a big challenge for us. Dynamos have been playing well and are the only team yet to lose a single match. They also have an advantage in that they command a huge following. We respect them(Dynamos) but I hope they also respect us because our aim is to win,” said Antipas.
Meanwhile Bulawayo giants Highlanders derby against city rivals Bantu Rovers was postponed as the f Bosso will be in South Africa where they will play Jomo Cosmos in an aware to add a voice xenophobic awareness match in Johannesburg.
