EXIT -also known as, State of EXIT- is an annual summer music carnival held since 2000 in the Petrovaradin Fortress of Novi Sad.

The fete, which features some of the big names in international music, seeks to entertain Serbian youth while also bringing pertinent social topics to the forefront.

Speaking to ***The Zimbabwean*** Masike said she did an electric solo performance at the festival.

Spotting a self-made avante-garde costume and playing a tailor-made mbira designed for her by Ticha Muzavazi, the artist-cum-musician did an intriguing repertoire of songs from her debut album Hope and others from her up-coming album.

I feel proud to be an ambassador of Zimbabwe and for a change I am talking about the finer things my country has to offer besides the negative publicity it has been receiving, she said.

An excited Masike said the festival provided a platform for her to learn more about how other music industries work professionally and successfully.

After the festival, Masike and other artists will be doing workshops.

We are going to be taught about the music business and other socially awakening aspects of our careers. These trainings are essential if we are to build a well oiled music industry in Zimbabwe, she said.

Some of the names that featured at this years festival include The Chemical Brothers, Missy Elliott, French electro artist SebastiAn, DJ Mehdi, and the band Placebo.
