Muziringa was at his shop at Chingwaru Business Center, when Mavhungire approached him demanding he remove his party t-hirt. Other Zanu (PF) youths were monitoring proceedings from a distance. Mavhungire shouted that Murewa was Mugabes constituency and there was no way MDC regalia could be displayed in public.
The Zanu (PF) thug also threatened to undress women wearing t-shirts with the slogan Voice Up distributed by NGOs in the area. Terrified women fled from the shopping centre with Mavhungire in pursuit.

A docket was later opened against Mavhungire and police promised to investigate the incident. Mavhungire was among Zanu (PF) thugs who terrorized villagers in Ward 3, Mukarakate. We were on our way to Murewa with MDC-T councillor for ward 8, Carlos Mudzongo when we stopped over at Summerset for recess. Zanu (PF) thugs approached us at our vehicle and demanded we remove our party t-shirts. We resisted and a scuffle ensued. The rogue youths shouted that the MDC mayors vehicle must be set on fire. One of the youths took my photographs with a camera. They threatened to use the photographs for unspecified business, said Nyandoro.
A few months ago, MDC-T Member of Parliament for Marondera Central, Ian Kay, was harassed and held hostage by Zanu (PF) youths at the farm. Kay had gone to attend an International Aids Day seminar at a local farm. Zanu (PF) youths told Kay that MDC was not allowed in the farming area. Zanu (PF) Governor for Mashonaland East, Aenius Chigwedere officiated at the seminar and Zanu (PF) Member of Parliament for Marondera East, Tracey Mutinhiri, was in attendance.
Chigwedere reportedly summoned the youths to his offices and reprimanded them for their wayward behavior. Mutinhiri also apologized to Kay for the embarrassment caused by overzealous thugs.
At Murewa Hospital, a security guard and Border Gezi Youth Training Center graduate identified as Sati and his accomplice, Kataza, seized MDC-T constitution pamphlets from hospital staff. They tore up the material distributed at the hospital by losing MDC-T Member of Parliament for Murewa North, Golden Mutize. Mutize made a police report and a docket was opened against the two Zanu (PF) thugs.
Meanwhile, Zanu (PF) is telling its supporters that Morgan Tsvangirai will soon have no vacancy in government, as the post of Prime Minister in the inclusive government would be abolished by December this year.
