Staff at the Sea Life Aquarium in Oberhausen asked Paul to pick mussels in a tank with a Spanish flag or a German flag.
He ignored his homeland’s colour and picked the Spanish box – ahead of Spain’s 1-0 victory over Germany.
Paul has now correctly predicted the correct outcome of six World Cup matches, reports The Sun.
British-born Paul’s owners say he also predicted nearly 70% of Germany’s results in the 2008 European Championship.
Germany finished as runners-up in their qualifying group, having lost only once to Croatia. They then progressed to the final, where they were beaten by Spain.
