Villagers silenced in constitution

constitutionCHIVHU - Villagers in Chikomba West have been told by marauding state security agents and soldiers not to demand title deeds for their land in the constitution.

MDC-T Chairman for Chikomba West, Anthony Mutodza, said that soldiers and

state security agents were on the prowl in the district ahead of the constitution outreach meeting that is scheduled for the 19th of this month.

“People have been silenced here, they have been told not to talk about title deeds to their lands. We were told that people who would speak during the outreach meeting will be removed from their land. The police and soldiers have handpicked people who are to speak to the outreach teams. Our supporters who are afraid of loosing their land have indicated that they will not speak at all to the outreach teams, he said.
