Warrior impressed by Sundowns

method_mwanjaliJOHANNESBURG - Zimbabwean international and Mamelodi Sundowns new recruit, utility player Method Mwanjali (Pictured) says he is impressed by his first days with the Pretorian based outfit.


Speaking to the Zimbabwean this week Mwanjali was full of praise for Sundowns whom he regards as one of the most organised professional team global.

I am very much pleased with the way things are arranged here. Everything is run at a professional manner and with this kind of support I think we will work hard to try and bring honours to the club come end of the season.

The management is very co-operative and everyone in the team seems to be very happy with our presence in the team, I appreciate this kind unity amongst players and management.

So far so good, I am happy with how I was welcomed to the club, added Method.

Born 27 years ago, Mwanjali started his professional career with Hwange F.C at an age of 19, and played there for some years before being lured to the then Twine Phiri owned Caps United in 2005. He featured for Caps United and at the same time he also featured for Zimbabwe junior national teams.

After some dazzling skills while turning out for green machine as Caps are prominently known he caught the eyes of Zimbabwe Warriors mentor Charles Mhlauri who never hesitated in including him in his Warriors troops.

With his consistence appearance in national colours Mwanjali was once accorded a captainship arm band for his genuine leadership and skills, and he is also a cup winning captain with Zimbabwe Warriors.

Earlier this year towards the end of the South African ABSA Premiership Method and his countrymen Nyasha Mushekwi and Lionel Mtizwa were recommended to Sundowns by the then Sandawana mentor Bulgarian born and former Barcelona star player Risto Stoichkov. Ironically Sundowns is also captained by the Zimbabwean defensive midfilder Esrom Nyandoro who is prominently known for his thunderous volleys in the ABSA premiership
