Where is your focus?

teach_me_your_waysWhatever you focus on will magnify in your mind. Focus on the problem and it will grow. Focus on God (Who is your solution) and your vision of Him will increase. That is why the direction of your prayer is so important.

Most of our prayer time should be praise! Praise is important because it blesses God and strengthens you. Psalm 22:3 says, The Lord inhabits the praises of His people. Thats the main reason why church services start with praise and worship.

One of the words in the original language for prayer means worship. Another means, to kiss the face. Prayer is worship and worship is prayer. Prayer is loving and communing with God!

What most of us call prayer is actually griping and complaining. Its doing things to make you feel better. God will hear me now, because I prayed for an hour! Thats not correct.

If you begin approaching God with a new attitude, itll make a big difference in your life. God wants you set free from religious bondage.

Do you want to destroy your family? Well the best way is to set a time every night, like from 7 until 8 and have your family time of fellowship. Just make it a law, regardless what anyone in the family are doing, when its 7pm, everyone will drop what they are doing and meet in the lounge for family time! If your kids are playing, or your wife is in the kitchen, it doesnt matter, they must all meet to have fellowship. Its now 7 oclock, have fellowship! Youll ruin your family doing that.

Its a good thing to set aside time to do things as a family, but it needs to be spontaneous, not rigid and legalistic. To get to know someone you need to spend time with them, but you must do things together because you want to not because you have to. God is a person and He doesnt enjoy you coming to Him because you have to. – I would love to hear from anyone who is reading these articles. You may contact me on email: rhf3@yahoo.com
