Zanu (PF) Stooge had deceiving looks

Dear Editor,
Thank you so very much nekutipakurira chokwadi (for reporting the truth) every week. Your paper is a pleasure to read.
I was shocked to read that the 2009 Headboy wepa PE Mwana webato ( the 2009 headboy at Prince Edward School is a Zanu (PF) stooge).

I remember him very well from the National Debating league whereIi adjudicated a number of debated with him as a speaker. He was a good speaker and seemed like a nice boy but looks are deceiving.

I shared the article with a friend of mine who is a teacher in Bulawayo and was even more shocked to hear akamitisa (impregnated) a girl he debated with when they were at Prince Edward for a weekend event. Why does he not own up and take responsibility for his actions and pay maintenance? I asked a question whose reply told me everything. It seems as if the girl was told that he would marry her when he came back.

Yohwee nhai (Oops), where did we go wrong in letting such a person lead many youth and students at PE? I blame Zanu (PF) for ruining character neuhnhu (humanism) of our kids.

There is still one thing I could not understand. Before every debate where he spoke, weird men would have a chat to the chief adjudicator. At all times, the chief adjudicator would review the results even after we decided the winner. Every time PE would win and Paul would be the best speaker. Regai vana vakure nhai (leave the children to grow up a normal life), instead of messing with normal life.

Its time that:

1) That debating programme leaves the hands of Prince Edward, which is a government school

2) That the children’s parliament is autonomous from the state and that the children dont end up like this young man

3) Minister Coltart should also look at what really goes on in the selection of these child leaders and background check should be done to avoid perverts and politically tied students from being involved and furthering the interest of the government.

Keep up the good work baba (father), we need this for a better Zimbabwe

Yours Sincerely

Mrs Mazvikadei( Prisca)
