HARARE - Zimbabwean Alexandra Govere, known as Andra, has entered the musical scene with a blast after the release of her mixed tape caused waves on the internet. Raised in rural Zimbabwe, Andra was discovered by Kerry Brothers Jr. Her musical talent is evident in the reaction to some of the songs on the album Love is for suckaz/ Im a sucka for love that have been a big hit among internet listeners. The mixed tape features the likes of Drake, Lupe Fiasco, Rich Hil, Kid CuDi and Mateo.
The 20 year-old Stanford University Student was the first female of colour to compete in the Zimbabwean National Gymnastics team and has been honoured by many magazines as a role model and inspiration for young girls. Andra is also an accomplished ballerina, having performed with companies all over America.
