Bulls remain Mighty

Can Motor Action rise to the occasion, shackle off the tag of a small team and bulldoze their way to the Championship title by the end of the season to surprise the so called big teams as Monomotapa did in 2008?

The Mighty Bulls, who successfully fought relegation last season, has impressively emerged one of the teams eyeing the championship title this season. With the competition still close, at least among the top four sides Motor Action, Dynamos, Shabanie Mine and Gunners, Joey Antipass men remain stubborn to prove something by the end of the season. Their recent 1-0 victory against Lengthens, last weekend, saw their points tally rise to 35, seven points ahead of close competitor Dynamos.

The Glamour Boys, who were away for a nightmarish trip in Algeria that saw them lose 0-3 to their hosts in the Champions league, still had three games in hand, last weekend. Shabanie Mine pocketed another set of three points after beating the 2008 League Champions Monomotapa, 2-0.

Caps United escaped defeat to grab a point in a 2-all draw against Kiglon, at Rufaro stadium. The Green Machine continues their consistence in displaying a poor form not worth of former champions after the departure of most of their players to the South African ABSA Premiership league.

Last weekend results: Shooting Stars 1-0 Bantu Rovers, Lengthens 0-1 Motor Action, Shabanie Mine 2-0 Monomotapa, Caps United 2-2 Kiglon, Hwange 2-0 Eagles, Gunners 1-0 Douglas Warriors.
