Twenty-nine people have been killed while 23 others were seriously injured in 198 traffic accidents recorded since Friday, a senior police officer has said. The family which perished in the crash is said to have been headed to Mt Selinda when the vehicle they were travelling in hit a pothole and veered off the road, before rolling several times.
The deceased were identified as Shyleen Siyanda (8), Malvern Siyanda (17), Mashama Siyanda (40), Mureyi Siyanda (age
unknown), Manyika Mufambeni (15) and Listen Tasa (12). Seven others sustained serious injuries, including leg fractures.
