Last month band manager William Tsandukwa announced that Macheso was embarking on a five day tour of the UK starting July 29 and this was in direct contrast to Machesos assistant manager, Jethro Muchanjas statements during the same week.
Muchanja announced that they were leaving for the UK on August 25.
In a move that is set to disappoint Macheso fans in the UK, the show, according to Tsandukwa, has been pushed forward to September 29. The band manager told The Zimbabwean that the reason for the postponement was that six Orchestra Mberikwazvo members passports were expiring this month and they needed time to renew them.
However, one of the shows promoters based in the UK, Silmone Wakabikwa, was quoted in a local daily saying the promoters and Machesos band had not agreed on terms and dates and once that had been done, the show would go ahead as scheduled.
