Moyo, who has turned out for Division One side, Pretoria University, where he was voted club player of the year in 2009 and 2010, has last season unsuccessfully tried to join Johannesburg-based Wits University.
Vasco manager Kenny Gertse last week confirmed that the former Zimbabwe Under 23 skipper and Hwange FC player was among a group of players on trials at the club.
But Gerste declined to speak about the 25-year-old Zimbabweans chances of win a place in the Vasco team.
Moyo is among the over five players we have here on trials, but it is too early for me to say if he will sign, said Gertse.
We are still assessing him and various other players on trial. He is a very good defender and we know that, but whether or not he will sign will depend on how he is likely to fit into the team.
