The Warriors defensive midfielder was earl last month reported to have joined Al Ahli Doha in an undisclosed deal worth millions of rands, with Kaizer Chiefs confirming as much on their website, but all that seemed to have vanished into thin air during the week, when the player rejoined Chiefs at their training for the new season.
Nengomasha is back training with us, after some complications in his intended move to Qatar and his is welcome here, said Chiefs Manager, Bobby Motaung. We all wished him well in that move and share is his heartbreak, but we are still happy that he has returned to the club, where he will always be part of the family.
Motaung would however, not reveal what the complications in Nengomashas intended move were, saying that the club would release a statement in due course.
However, the countrys most followed soccer magazine KickOff, said in its website that Nengomasha returned to South Africa after Doha failed to offer him a contract.
There was a lot of confusion in the whole deal and what is more disappointing is that the coach of the team in Qatar was not even aware that Nengomasha was coming, even though in South Africa it was already reported that has signed for Al Ahli Doha, the magazine quoted a source close to the player as saying.
He is back in the country and waiting to hear from Chiefs on his next move, it said.
