Centennial show sponsors – ploughing back into agriculture

TN Financial Holdings, the AICO Group, Windmill, ZFC, Net*One, Econet, Telecel and Turnall Asbestos donated agricultural inputs at this years show. This sponsorship comes at a time when the government has announced an 18.5% growth target for the agricultural sector. It underscores the important role agriculture plays in the economy of Zimbabwe.

The revival of agriculture is critical, not only in feeding the nation, but also in the further regeneration of industry, said OBrien Rwafa of TN Holdings. Windmill and ZFC have also come forward with generous sponsorship in the form of agricultural inputs as prizes, to boost agricultural production in the coming farming season. Turnall Asbestos, another long-standing exhibitor at the Show, donated much-needed roofing sheets for farm buildings and asbestos piping.

Through their sponsorship of agricultural items at the Harare Show, Zimbabwes three telecommunications service providers are sending out a clear message that agricultural production is important to all stakeholders in Zimbabwe, as well as to their farmer customers.
