The album was recorded at Metro Studios and co-produced by Jeremiah Chatikita

The six track album features some gospel tunes that have surprised many of his fans. And the big question is: Has Dino Mudondo turned to gospel music or has he found salvation?

Mudondo surprised his fans by including a gospel track on the album, which marks a big difference from his usual trend of reggae dancehall music fused with rhumba.

The song in question is “Mumakore”, adapted from the popular church hymn “Hamuzofare Here?”

Mudondo included the voice of Selmor Mtukudzi in the song, mixing it with

a contemporary beat. He said he decided to include the gospel song on the album to continue from the previous trend he started with his seventh release “Divisi”, on which he also featured a gospel song “Handirambe Ishe”, a popular chorus with many apostolic sects.

“It is important to thank God for everything he has done for me. I have realised that there is nothing that we can do in life without God leading our way. I am thanking him for giving me this talent of singing and there is nothing we can do without His mercy,” said Mudondo.

Mambokadzi Queen is a song about a hopeless and poor girl child who is struggling to breakthrough in a world that is riddled with numerous social and economic injustices.

Mudondo sings about love in the Mirira Iwewe (Waiting For You) that talks about the goodness of patience in ones love affair.

He also involved another soulful diva, Afro-jazz musician Clare Nyakujara, to spice up the album.
