Dynamos Bring In Fresh Talent

dembare_logoDynamos can confirm the signing of striker Clive Mwale and former Zimbabwe under 17 captain Archieford Gutu. Mwale and midfielder Gutu have impressed in training and the club is pleased to have them on board after struggling with options upfront since the departure of Cuthbert Malajila.

Dynamos fans will be familiar with Zambian international Mwale who left the Glamour Boys in 2007. Gutu on the other hand comes to the Glamour Boys after Ajax Cape Town failed to complete his registration with the South African PSL as he is still a minor. Ajax failed to secure a resident local guardian for Gutu to help him process his papers as the young midfielders parents passed away. Ajax said in a statement, We tried everything to register him but failed.

Bringing on board new players ties in with the development of several players in the Dynamos Junior development programme who are earmarked for more first team action from 2011.

Speaking exclusively with the club website, team manager Nyika Chifamba said bringing in Gutu and Mwale on board is part of advance preparation for future Champions League campaigns.

This time we want the team to play together for a longer time before future Champions League campaigns. We dont want a repeat of what happened this year when waited to qualify and registered players who we were confident we would secure, only for their clubs to refuse to release them. We have already started preparations for the 2011 season, Chifamba said.

The two may even get a run against Highlanders in the battle of Zimbabwe clash at Barbourfields stadium this weekend.
