Dynamos were all over Douglas Warriors in the opening half forcing Warriors keeper Lovermore Makwavarara to earn his money through several last gasp saves in the opening half hour. A goal was inevitable and the hosts conceded a penalty when Warriors defender Hatidani handled in the box. Zimbabwe International Guthrie Zhokinyi stepped up to coolly place the ball in the back of the net sending Makwavarara the wrong way on 29 minutes. The penalty had to be retaken though and Zhokini emphasized his ability to remain calm under pressure with a confident shot that beat a diving Makwavarara.
The siege on the hosts continued for the rest of the first half with David Kutyauripos shot slamming the post as Dynamos threatened to runaway with the game before half time. It must have been some pep talk in the Douglas Warriors changing room as the hosts returned with greater purpose and industry in the second half forcing Arubi into a fine save just after the break.
Dynamos countered immediately through Murape Murape whos shot was thwarted by Hatidani after Marere had beaten his marker on the right. Kurewa then pulled back a goal for Douglas Warriors after heading in a cross from Mapurati. The result leaves Dynamos 9 points adrift with three games in hand on log leaders Motor Action. Despite the disappointing draw Dynamos were pleased to give a run to Evans Gwekwerere and Desmond Maringwa who return from injury after lengthy spells on the sidelines.
