Zimbabwe Human Rights Lawyer’s house intruded

gabriel_shumbaJohannesburg - A South African house in which Zimbabwean human rights lawyer and Zimbabwe Exiles Forum Director - Gabriel Shumba (Pictured) lives in was last week broken into and his property stolen.


The Zimbabwean learnt this week that the house, in Muckleneuk, Pretoria, was broken into last Thursday evening, while Shumba was away attending meetings in Europe, involving Zimbabweans in the diaspora.

Shumba himself confirmed the robbery, adding that the thieves broke all windows of the lawyer’s two cars, stealing money and causing yet to be quantified damage .

Sunnyside police spokesman, Captain Mashiane said, ‘they are yet to catch the suspects’.

Shumba was away holding seminars for the Diaspora on Transitional Justice in the UK, and Belgium.
