Zimbabwe Defence Forces will not compromise an inch on their sworn position that Morgan Tsvangirai would never be president of Zimbabwe. If Tsvangirai defeats Mugabe again in presidential polls later next year, the military will change the game plan and play politics the African way. Remember what revolutionary armies do to puppets used to reverse gains of the liberation struggle. Tsvangirai would easily go one way, said a highly placed military source based at the Zimbabwe Defense Forces Headquarters.
The source said Mugabe and the military were pleased that people expressed themselves freely in the constitution making process and nothing would stop the final constitution document from being adopted by mid next year.
During outreach meetings, Zimbabweans showed high levels of understanding and appreciation of their historical background. Their contributions indicated they had grown wiser than they were during March 29, 2008 harmonized elections. People would overwhelmingly vote Mugabe and Zanu (PF) into power come next elections. If Tsvangirai decides to boycott the elections, it would be good riddance for Zanu (PF). Zanu (PF) would proceed to beat MDC Mutambara and ZAPU at the polls, added the source.
The source added that top military commanders would embark on a country wide tour of army barracks, to remind soldiers on need for maintaining vigilance and loyalty in Mugabe as President of the country.Post published in: News
