Let’s talk about it

tsvangiThis week, conflict between the parties in the GPA escalated with Zanu (PF) secretary George Charamba saying if the Western countries heeded Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirais call for the expulsion of the unilaterally appointed envoys, the Zimbabwe government would also expel the western ambassadors. Last week Tsvangirai wrote to the EU and the United Nations protesting against the unilateral appointments of the envoys by President Mugabe. The Prime Minister said the appointments were a violation of the Global Political Agreement (GPA), which gave birth to the inclusive government. He urged Western countries and the UN not to recognise the diplomats.

Responses to last weeks issues.

I urge all Zimbabweans to read and understand the Bibles prophecy so that we know as a nation where we are. Jesus is coming very soon. Lizwi Sibindi. Johannesburg

I am one of those who like to stay updated on the goings on of our beloved country, yesterday (last Sunday) as I read The Zimbabwean, I was disheartened by the fact that for the three years that I have lived in South Africa I still hear of die hard Mugabe supporters who find it better to kill their own brothers and sisters for a government that never cares about their existence. I understand that Zimbabweans are not violent people who believe in doing things by the book, but I think it is high time we fight back, and I can confirm that I am willing to join the front if any of our brothers are willing to lose their lives for their families to have a better future. I am tired of the Mugabe regime and those destroying humanity while we watch and wait. Until when are we going to keep waiting and hoping for GOD to intervene when we are doing nothing about it? I feel it is high time we stop running and face the enemy. They are people just like us and have no right to take anyone elses lives. Let the MOVEMENT begin. By e-mail

It is high time we hold elections instead of continuing to moan about the non implementation of the GPA. Let us have elections that are supervised the UN and that will decide the clear winner mbeve zhinji hadzina mashe as witnessed by the continued jockeying in the GNU. Anonymous

I think Morgan Tsvangirais decision to disregard Mugabes unilateral appointments is so far the boldest decision he has made since he got into government. I know this may increase tension and fuel violence on MDC supporters and officials, but I think this is a struggle and ukaonawo vanhu vakuita maunilateral decisions like Smith did with the UDI woziva kuti pavo papera manje. I think the South African Home Affairs is just trying to find a way of offloading Zimbabweans in South Africa. At their pace, they cannot finish registering all the Zimbabweans so they will eventually kick them out after December 1 on the justification that they failed to register, simple mathematics- Tired Zimbo, Johannesburg

South Africa is doing what it can to make Zimbabweans safe and let us appreciate that. I personally do not think the problems that are pushing many Zimbabweans down south are South Africas responsibility so let us bear with them while they try to help us stay safe from Mugabes mess. Anonymous
