MARANGE - President Robert Mugabe President Mugabe is on record saying he was not interested in extending the life of the Government of National Unity saying It was not a workable formula. Since then Zanu (PF) officials have been bulldozing church pulpits to preach propaganda.
President Mugabe sent Vice President John Nkomo and State for Presidential Affairs minister, Didymus Mutasa to hand over the tractors to Johanne Marange High Priest Noah Taguta Momberume. Also present was outgoing Governor Chris Mushohwe and Provincial party chairman, Mike Madiro.
After his last visit to the Mafarirakwa shrine in July this year, President Mugabe pledged two tractors and a farm to the leader of the sect after he said he was impressed by the message he was given by church priests that he was the countrys chosen one and shall rule forever.
However, church elders and followers said the donation was a non event as it would not change their minds.
People have a choice to vote for the leader they feel can transform their lives, said one of the church elders who spoke on condition of anonymity.
