Patrick Chinamasa, the Zanu (PF) Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Sekai Holland (MDC – T) and Vice President John Nkomo (Zanu (PF)) are overseeing the national healing process.
The late Gibson Sibanda (MDC M) was also one of the chairpersons.
This follows the Survivors Summit hosted by Heal Zimbabwe last week for 250 representatives of political violence in Zimbabwe.
Heal Zimbabwe confirmed that the organization would make serious follow ups on the petition in a bid to ensure that cases of political violence in Zimbabwe were redressed.
Speaking to The Zimbabwean some of the victims said the ministry and the organ should force the perpetrators to publicly apologise to the victims family and repatriate both the spouse and the parents of those who disappeared.
I want the Ministry and the organ to liaise with the government to take full responsibility for the families of those who disappeared during the political violence period and provide for the sustenance and welfare of their relatives, said one victim.
The victims also added that there should be income generating projects for the survivors to boost their livelihoods as some lost their husbands and wives after the ordeal.
