The Ikapa Media-organised summit, which promotes ICT as a means to accelerate economic development on the African continent under the theme Regional Integration through ICT networks, will be held at the Cape Town International Conference Center (CTICC) on December 6-8 2010.
Organisers expect an attendance of more than 300 high-level delegates and at least 50 exhibitors, in an agenda that will include plenary sessions, thematic breakaway sessions, ministerial forums and one-to-one business meetings between participants and ICT Africa Summit 2010 exhibitors.
ICT Africa Summit 2010 aims at promoting and supporting business opportunities in the sector of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in order to encourage further growth and development in African countries.
Africa needs this summit now and the successful execution of the programme will require the mobilisation of a broad spectrum of resourceful participants and stakeholders both in Africa and the rest of the world. Your participation will definitely take the ICT agenda to greater heights in terms of its focus as well as its depth, said Rocky Kabeya, the summits project manager.
Some of the breakaway sessions that will be conducted are Green IT (chaired by Tim James, Sustainable IT managing director), eGovernance and eLearning (Kasperskey Lab), while Ministerial forums will be one of the main focus sessions.
Building on the successes of the last three NEPAD ICT Africa Summits, African Events Company Ikapa Media, together with its partners, promised to create an environment that will allow suppliers to meet ICT decision makers of the continent at one location and show competence by making a professional presentation in accordance with International standards.
Our Platinum sponsor for the ICT Africa Summit is MTN Business and our other major sponsors are Kaspersky LAB, Kaizen Business Solutions and INSPIRE, Michelle Mapanda, a spokesperson for the organizers, told The Zimbabwean on Tuesday.Post published in: News
