The theme for the event is Regional Integration through ICT networks and 200 high level delegates and 25 exhibitors are expected to take part. The event will include plenary sessions, thematic breakaway sessions, ministerial forums and one-to-one business meetings between participants and ICT Africa Summit 2010 exhibitors.
ICT Africa Summit 2010 welcome note will be done by Johnny Aucamp from MTN, and other key note speakers include Peter Masemola from CISCO Systems Joy Marie Lawrence from Business Connexion. Other major topics that will be covered are bridging the digital divide using solar powered rural internet kiosks and financing ICT infrastructure in Africa.
Some of the breakaway sessions that will be conducted are e Governance and eLearning (Kasperskey Lab), Information Society by INSIRE and Woolworths will have a session also. The programme for the ICT Africa Summit is set to run over a period of three days with the first day being dedicated to registration and the remaining two days focused on the different presentations and break away sessions. The summit is set to bring about a change in ICT in Africa.
