NACZ Directors Compliments of the Season

A special year, 2010, witnessed the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe turning 25 years. It was also the year that a new NACZ Board was appointed; Mr Nicholas Moyo was also appointed the NACZ Deputy Director, NACZ launched the Cell-ebrity Funeral Cover for artists and to cap the Year NACZ devised Festival Guidelines to professionalise the sector. Despite the economic hardships currently affecting most Zimbabweans, 2010-Zimbabwe managed to attract a number of renowned international artists like Akon, Saun Paul, Capleton, King Sounds just to mention only but a few, all this thanks to our Promoters and Zimbabweans who have shown that Zimbabweans are indeed receptive to good things. This also goes to show that the Zimbabwean Art and Culture sector is gradually being run professionally, and indeed the contribution of the arts to the economic contribution will start to be noticed.(Click here for full details)
