Solly Luthale, the managing director of South African firm BIH Consulting, said: When the inclusive government was formed in Zimbabwe, there was a lot of optimism that this would herald a new era in that country and see it make a fast recovery from its economic decline, but that was only political optimism. This has so far failed to be because of a lack of political will and continuing political instability in that country, which have affected any economic progress.
Luthale said Zimbabwe would need more than three years for its economy to pick up.
