Forty five International Socialist Organisation activists arrested last week on Saturday where finally formally charged after having been brought to court on Wednesday. Appearing before Harare Magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi the 45 pleaded not guilty to the charges of treason leveled against them after the state led by Mr Nyazamba indicated that they had altered the charge from subverting a constitutionally elected government.
However almost all the forty five had complains of failing to access their lawyer Mr Aleck Muchadehama who was representing them when they where detained at the notorious Law and Order section of the Harare Central police.
Muchadehama however applied to the court to have time to take instructions from his clients after the court leant that he had not been allowed to see his clients when they were in police custody.
The presiding magistrate Mutevedzi rolled the matter over to Thursday.
The forty five were arrested on Saturday last week on allegations of plotting to stage a protest against President Mugabes dictatorial tendencies.
