State Enterprises and Parastatals Minister Gorden Moyo said some Indian investors and business people had shown interest in partnering with Zimbabwean companies and consolidating the existing relationship between the two countries.
Last week Minister Moyo attended the 17th Partnership Summit in Mumbai, India, and was at a symposium that shared views on topical issues in the contemporary world economy under the theme The Resource Conundrum: Global Security Partnerships.
He said Zimbabwes participation at the summit was a demonstration of how the country valued and was committed to partnering with the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and the rest of the world.
Minister Moyo said as India was one of the emerging economies, it was crucial for the country to maintain and tighten relations.
It is very critical at this stage of development for the country to partner with Asian countries because it is good for the turn around of our economy and would result in better outcomes, Moyo said.
