MDC-T supporters resist Zanu

mdc_logoHARARE - Villagers in Mahusekwas Mudakurwa Village in Mashonaland East Province have confronted the local Zanu (PF) District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) members, Amos and John Marowo, who summoned them to come and surrender their MDC-T regalia and re-join Zanu (PF).

The leader of the MDC-T aspiring MP for the area, in which Zanu (PF)s Ambrose Mutinhiri is the house of Assembly member, leader Shadreck Chipangura said that they resisted joining Zanu (PF) last week.

Upon being given a one week ultimatum by the Zanu (PF) provincial leadership, I led my group to their offices where I told them that we were not going to abide by their directive. This did not frighten me because I grew up with both Amos and John Marowo who are leading the terror campaign in the area. I told them that its them who should join MDC, not me and my group, he said.

Chipangura said he was not afraid of losing his life as a result of his refusal to rejoin Zanu (PF).

That is part of the struggle we are in, he said.
