PSL full of praise for Musona

knowledge_musonaJOHANNESBURG - The Premier Soccer League (PSL)is singing praises of Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona (pictured) after the player won his second successive Player of the Month Award and emerged R10 000 richer.

Musona got the nod as the Absa Premiership Player of the Month after scoring some crucial goals for Amakhosi during the voting period (January). His efforts in front of goal have kept Chiefs in the title race and he has shown a knack of scoring crucial goals when it matters. He most notably rescued a point for Chiefs in Bloemfontein when a goal in injury time gave them a share of the spoils. His goal ratio in December was equally impressive and he kept on scoring vital goals, said Altaaf Kazi.

Warriors striker Musona beat off stiff competition from Amazulu frontman Lehlohonolo Majoro and Ajax Cape Town star Thulani Serero.

It is an honour to win this award twice in a row. I hope to continue with that form. I would like to thank my teammates for their contribution and the coach (Vladimir Vermezovic) for showing trust in my capabilities, Musona said in an interview.

This season is turning out to be the most productive for the player Chiefs recruited from the famous Black Aces Academy in Harare. He has won the Telkom Knockout Striker of the Tournament and is in the running to win the overall Player of the tournament and the Golden Boot.

He is the leading Absa Premiership top goalscorer with 10 goals.
