In 1997, Mazhude was one of the key organisers of a national UK conference, Zimbabwe Healthcare Conference, to discuss ways of building the capacity of Zimbabwes health sector.

Leveraging his professional experience and extensive links with doctors and other leading healthcare providers in Zimbabwe, Mazhude founded Zambezi Medical in 2009 to provide a simple and reliable way for Zimbabweans in the Diaspora to help loved ones in Zimbabwe gain access to health services.

Zambezi Medical offers a comprehensive range of services that includes Medical Aid packages, GP and Specialist consultations and prescription services through partner pharmacies. This groundbreaking initiative has seen hundreds of Zimbabweans around the world get peace of mind by enabling their dependants in Zimbabwe to access medical treatment whenever it is required.

Mazhude has worked tirelessly over the years with medical professionals in Zimbabwe and other countries in the southern Africa region through various training initiatives. Most recently, he was pivotal in establishing a formal link with the Medical School in Zimbabwe to facilitate knowledge-sharing between UK-based volunteer healthcare professionals and their peers in Zimbabwe.
