Malajila weighs options

cuthbert_malajilaHARARE- Former Chapungu, Highlanders and Dynamos striker Cuthbert Malajila (pictured), who fled Libya where he was turning out for Al Akhdar, says he is still weighing up options before deciding on his next move.

Malajila fled at the weekend following the popular uprising against Muammar Gaddafi. Speculation has been rife that he would rejoin Dynamos, but the player dismissed the reports in an interview with The Zimbabwean this week.

“I have not taken a decision yet on my next move,” said Malajila. “The reports that I am joining Dynamos are not true. The season in Lybia is on a break for a month and as you are aware things are not ok there. I had to run away because of the violence in that country. I might be going back there or not but it all depends on whether the situation has improved,” said the soft spoken striker.

The hard running striker was instrumental in Dynamos’s challenge for the domestic league title in 2009 in which Dynamos were beaten to the finishing line by Gunners who were then under the guidance of Moses Chunga.

He was also part of the squad that lost the title for the second year running to Motor Action but left in the middle of the season to join Tunisian outfit Club Africain who later loaned him to the Lybian club.
