HARARE - Lawyers of the MDC faction led by Welshman Ncube Last week the MDC-N raised concerns over Mugabe and Tsvangirais continued acceptance of Mutambara as the president of the smaller MDC after the two attended a meeting with him.
Kurauone Chihwai, the partys deputy spokesman, said that the party was taking the matter seriously and its lawyers were expected to have a solid case by the end of the week.
This week the truth will come out. Our lawyers are on the matter and we are sure that we will have a clear picture by the end of the week. We are not going to sit and watch while a court order is being disrespected, said Chihwayi.
Mugabe refused to swear in Ncube as the countrys Deputy Prime Minister despite the fact that Ncubes party had made a cabinet reshuffle. Ncube accuses Mugabe of siding with Mutambara.
Ncube told villagers in Garanyemba 30k outside Gwanda at the weekend: We understand a meeting of principals took place Friday and that Mutambara was invited and its clear that if that happened all of them were acting in contempt of court and it is possible for us to apply for the committal to prison of anyone in contempt of court.
You cant be a Principal unless you are the President of a party, the agreement involves Zanu (PF), MDC-T and us and Mutambara has no party, added Ncube.
