The Zimbabwe Victims of Organised Violence Trust (ZIVOVT), which has played a pivotal role in setting up the committee, told The Zimbabwean that pastor Ndlovu was seconded by the churches to chair the committee.
“We thought it was ideal for a neutral person from the church to chair the committee. We did not have any problems in selling pastor Ndlovu’s candidature to the political parties because he is a well respected person whom we believe is going to be fair,” said Bekithemba Nyathi, ZIVOVT coordinator.
Zanu (PF) has taken up the post of secretary, MDC T, the post of organizing and logistics, Zapu the post of vice chairperson, Zapu (FP) the post of information and advocacy and MDC-Ncube the post of deputy secretary.
The ZIVOVT coordinator said his organization was also currently engaging members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
