HARARE The appointment of the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Lovemore MoyoThe Supreme Court ruled that Moyos election did not follow proper procedures. The appointment was challenged by President Robert Mugabes former spin doctor Jonathan Moyo.
Political observers say the ruling handed down yesterday is likely to escalate tensions in the fragile unity government, already exacerbated by Mugabes determination to hold elections later this year. It also means Tsvangirai’s MDC will have to fight for the position again.
