Chimbetu, who is the younger brother of Dendera Music icon Simon Chimbetu, had initially applied for a downward variation of the maintenance to US$20, but it was thrown out.
The talented rhythm guitarist and vocalist was ordered to pay US$70 by Mutare Magistrate Nickson Mangoti. In his latest appeal Chimbetu stated that US$70 maintenance per month was too much for him as he had other several children to look after.
