The awards ceremony which will be held in September is sponsored by Emirates Airline of Dubai. The first three winners will be flown by the airline to Dubai to showcase their works at the Art Dubai weekend. In addition, the best artist walks away with US$ 5 000.
Carlson, who is a holder of a diploma in Fine Arts from Andrew Owen School of Arts, South Africa, was last year one of the best 25 artists out of 950 contestants drawn from all over the world. “This year I will definitely do better and I am sure with the efforts I am putting on my works I will be judged the best contestant,” he said.
