The trainings, Pagels told The Zimbabwean, are aimed at providing capacity to leaders at grassroots levels so as to develop the game.
Pagels, who signed a contract with Zimbabwe’s government through the foreign affairs ministry, said he believes the trainings will yield desirable results in a couple of years to come.
“In four to five years to come, Zimbabwe will see a marked change for the better in football and I am committing myself to that,” Pagels promised.
He added that though Gweru’s training session marked the end of the first phase of his programme, he intends to progress when he returns back from German.
“I am going back to Germany just because I want to sort out a new budget but I am coming back to move on,” he said.
Those trained were awarded certificates of merit. The trainings included teachings on physiotherapy among other components.
