SmartPhone negotiations

smartphoneHARARE Harare-based telecomms company, SmartPhone, has been negotiating potential partnerships with Asian companies running into several thousands of US dollars, following their participation at the recently-ended Technology Fair in Dubai.

SmartPhone managing director, Tinos Vambe, said his company took part in the

Technology Fair held in Dubai from March 20 – 24, 2011 where he said the company clinched business deals worth US$ 150 000.

“Our participation at this fair was well timed in view of the many visitors who are being drawn to Dubai. As representatives of Zimbabwe we showed preparedness to do business and generate increased demand for cellphone products,” he said.

Vambe said SmartPhone already had distributors of their products in South Africa.
