ANC hails ZAPUs Dabengwa

Speaking at the 25th Anniversary of the Alex 6 Days War where 33 youth perished, Minister and former Gauteng Premier Paul Mashatile said ANC members had been inspired by Dabengwas tactics and spirit when they were growing up.

We conquered the Boers because of people like Dabengwa. They motivated us a lot and supported our struggle – we have to honour these cadres for their contribution towards success of our freedom, he said.

Adding to Mashatiles praises and remarks, Deputy Communications Minister Obert Baphela praised Dabengwa for his sterling contributions to the struggle for democracy in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Our armed wing fought their battles from Zimbabwe and our soldiers were trained by leaders like Dabengwa, he said leading to thunderous ululating from the crowd.

ANC Youth league leader Julius Malema chanted slogans honouring the Zimbabwe Peoples Revolutionary Army (ZPRA-uMkhonto Alliance) which worked hand-in-hand during the struggle. Dabengwa was accompanied by Professor Matshazi, the Chair of the partys Council of elders, his wife, tough and soft spoken Provincial chairperson Dingilizwe Mpondo, great strategist Diasporan Corporate Communications officer Luke Sayi.
