Zanu Ndonga President Vutuza Gonda has castigated politicians in the Government of National Unity (GNU) saying the hybrid administration has overstayed its welcome.
Gonda told The Zimbabwean that instead of solving the problems that are currently bedeviling the country politicians from both Zanu PF and the MDC formations are more interested into their personal power.
There is nothing much to talk about the GNU save for the fact that the politicians are interested in amassing wealth for themselves.
Indeed most of the politicians have become rich over a short period of time, said Gonda.
While the GNU has been credited with the stabilization of the economy, nothing much though has changed for the greater masses of Zimbabweans. To ordinary Zimbabweans politicians are well off and being politicians is regarded by many as a road to riches.
The major problem in the country is Zanu PF. That is the reason why we have said that we will support any political party that is interested in removing Zanu PF. They have been in the game for a long time and have been able to frustrate the MDC so our goal is to remove Zanu PF and people should note that the MDC is not in power yet, said Gonda.
Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai last month said that his party the MDC wants elections in the next 12 months while his counterpart President Robert Mugabe of Zanu PF has been saying that the country will have elections this year with or without a new constitution.
