carl_joshua_ncubeHARARE - Comedian Carl Joshua Ncube said he is determined to pursue his world tour despite some shortcomings with his sponsors, Showbiz on Sunday was informed. (Pictured: Carl Ncube takes on the world!)

The talented comedian and 2010 Zimbabwe Music Awards executive director has reduced his entourage, on the show dubbed World Tour, to two: himself and his director RufaroDhliwayo.

However, he was upbeat about the tour, which he launched in Bulawayo on May 13, and encouraged by the overwhelming response from locals in Diaspora.

Unlike the usual plan, it is only going to be myself and show director Rufaro Dhliwayo – due to sponsorship challenges. But I already feel like I am in an Olympic competition and I have succeeded in the quarter finals, semi-finals and now in the finals, which I’m going to win by the way, joked Ncube.

He added that, We have since changed our routine as we will be coming back to Zimbabwe after every show. So now we are headed for Zambia and then we come back here, head for Uganda, come back again and then the United Kingdom where we will proceed with our initial plan. From there I will tour Europe, America, Australia, Asia and then South Africa. The tour is very exciting, the mood is high and people love it.

We have received a lot of positive comments on our online website who are strongly cheering us on.

The Bulawayo-born comedian said the World Tourwas part of a cultural exchange programme to sharpen his

comic skills to meet international standards.
