The completion of Bermasyde (Takunda) Clinic in the Simona farming area of rural Bindura was as a result of joint venture between ZFHI and committed member of the community.

ZFHI offered to fund the construction of the nearby clinic after being approached by local villagers, which resulted in the transformation of a former farmhouse into the health facility as the local inhabitants travelled long distances to access treatment for various ailments.

We thank officials from the Zimbabwe Food for the Hungry International (ZFHI), who came to our rescue. We now have our own nearby clinic in Simona and only have to walk a short distance to get to Bermasyde Clinic. Prior to the construction of the clinic, we used to walk 30 km to and from to Foothills Clinic in search of treatment, said Moses Nguni from the same village.
