Meanwhile, the MDC Masvingo Provincial Secretary and Deputy Minister of Youth, Indigenisation and Empowerment, Hon. Tongai Matutu today received summons to appear at the Gweru Magistrates Courts, in the Midland province, on false charges of insulting the President six years ago.

He is being charged under Posa for uttering words at a public meeting that are likely to lead to public disorder. The minister has been ordered to appear in court in Gweru on 26 May.

He received the summons today at the Masvingo Central Police Station and was informed that the court case had been transferred from Zaka to Gweru but no reasons were given for this move.

The minister is the MP for Masvingo Urban.
