HARARE - Log leaders Motor Action make the trip to Bulawayo for a top of the table Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash against resurgent giants Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium today. (Pictured: Motor Action caoch Joey Antipas and some of his players)

The Mighty Bulls go into the match buoyed by a 2-1 win over money bags FC Platinum at Callies on Wednesday which saw them maintaining their lead at the top of the league table with 21 points from 10 matches.

A penalty converted by defender Themba Ndlovu earned them an equalizer before Tawanda Nyamandwe headed the winner on 70 minutes. Joey Antipas’s men will be looking for another win against Highlanders to ensure they maintain their lead.

The defending champions will be looking to Kuda Musharu to provide the spurt upfront after he returned from trials in South Africa. Musharu was introduced in the 46th minute for Enasio Perezu and made his presence felt with a convincing show in attack.

Antipas said he hoped Musharu would be in top form today.

Highlanders camp is also in high spirits after winning their last two matches inside four days. Bosso beat CAPS United 1-0 at Barbourfields with veteran defender Gilbert Banda heading home the all important goal. Then they beat Chicken Inn 2-1 on Wednesday with defender Innocent Mapuranga and midfielder Erick Mudzingwa scoring for Highlanders.

Mkuphali Masuku’s charges will therefore be looking to continue with their top form. Crucially they would want to give their fans hope that they could this time win the league title. Meanwhile Dynamos have a tricky fixture against Shooting Stars at Rufaro. The Glamour Boys are under pressure to win following an inconsistent display which has seen coach Lloyd Mutasa’ tactics being questioned. Dynamos played out a goalless draw against Shabanie Mine at Maglas while Shooting Stars lost 1-2 to Monomotapa.
