Among his songs is a track titled ‘Zim Zim’ dedicated to his faithful followers in Zimbabwe as well as the hit song about his new-born son ‘Lutendo’.
Tshanda speaks highly of the Zimbabwean people and he believes they made him successful in his career. I am where I am today just because of Zimbabweans. I have power because of them and their continued support keeps my career on track
and that is why I dedicated the track Zim Zim to them, just to show my appreciation for what they are doing for me, said Tshanda.
Last month revamped Vodacom, South Africa’s biggest network service provider, enlisted the services of popular musician Dan Tshanda to attract customers from neighbouring Zimbabwe. This proved that the man is indeed a hit with the Zimbabweans.
The Splash frontman Tshanda has a lucrative market among Zimbabweans in South Africa and in their home country where he plays alongside other musicians in his stable such as Patricia Majalisa, Dalom Kids, Peacock and Matshikhos.
He has produced more than 20 albums in the last decade
