This was said by the Minister of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development, Hon. Dr. Olivia Muchena (pictured) officiating the launch

In her remarks at the launch, Hon. Muchena said gender equality is of central importance in achieving Millennium Development Goals and as the nation now seeks strategies for economic recovery, growth and development, it is imperative that gender equality is seen as a significant contributor to the development arena.

The just launched Gender Budgeting and Economic Empowerment Project is being implemented by ZWRCN in partnership with the Consumer Council of Zimbabwe, and the Ministry of Women Affairs Gender and Community Development with support from the UN Women Fund For Gender Equality.
