Traditionally the Harare Derby, which carries with it the bragging rights for superiority, has claimed its place among the major highlights in the league calendar and this afternoon Dynamos will be hoping to beat the Green Machine again after they beat them 2-1 with Evans Gwekwerere and Dylan Chivandire scoring before Mushekwi scored the face saver in their last meeting at Rufaro last season.

The first leg had ended in a 0-0 stalemate. The previous season CAPS United had triumphed 2-1 with former CAPS United striker Nyasha Mushekwi, now at South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns scoring twice in the first leg with the return leg ending in a 1-1 stalemate.

However, this season, the Harare derby comes at a time the two teams have not performed to their best.

CAPS United are currently fifth in the table with 21 points from 13 games while Dynamos are just one rung down with 19 points.

Both clubs had appeared to have found a rich vein of form with good performances after thrashing their opponents by identical 4-1 scorelines.

But Dynamos were beaten 2-1 by Premiership newboys Blue Ribbon while CAPS United were held to a 2-2 draw by 2008 champions Monomotapa in their last matches.

And, today the two coaches Lloyd Mutasa and Moses Chunga will be under the spotlight. Both coaches have been the target of abuse by a militant section of the team's fans who are not happy with their performance.

However, Mutasa said this week, he was ready for CAPS United. "It’s a massive game for us. We have to win at all cost. It will mean a lot for the players ahead of the remainder of the games. We have to start winning," he said. His counter part Moses Chunga also predicted victory for his side. "It's a game every coach wants to win. It will be a tough match but I am ready for Dynamos," he said.
